We Made Apples!

The kids made apples today!
Each student got a tagboard apple, which they had to cut out first. They covered the apple in glue and fabric squares, making sure none of the tagboard showed through.
The kids were very careful (and REALLY quiet) as they glued and made sure their fabric laid flat on the apple, and all tagboard was covered.

Not everyone finished today, so they will finish them tomorrow. These are three that are finished. Aren't they cute? The fun part was trimming the pieces that stuck over the edge of the apple. We called it "giving the apple a haircut."

We also started our Reading program today. Have your child tell you about the story we read today, "Little Green Riding Hood." In addition we started Math and the kids got to have Science with the specialist teacher! We were very busy.
